Breakfast of Champions

I like breakfast. I like breakfast a lot. I will stop short of saying I love breakfast. Wait a minute, didn’t I just say I love breakfast? Argh, I did it again! I hold the theological position that breakfast can and should be eaten any time during the day or night.

My favorite breakfast consists of Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, Hashbrowns, Buttermilk Bisquits and Sawmill gravy. Whenever we visit the Cracker Barrel that’s exactly what I order! I will not, however, turn down eggs, pancakes and sausage. And of course you need peanut butter on the pancakes.

Most days (like today) my breakfast consists of a powerbar and a bottle of water. Kind of makes it hard to get excited about breakfast.

What is your favorite breakfast AND what did you have this morning?

Thanks for your input Brady. Let me see if my french is still up to the challenge . . .

    You said,

“I like to consume crisp rice from between my toes”

    either that or

“Rice Crispies with milk and sugar.”

I’m a bacon and eggs man…as long as the bacon is crisp. James loves nothing more than waffles at Grandma’s house. This morning, as most mornings, Cap’n Crunch and I started our days together.

No. It’s “I like to consume crip rice from within my NOSE.”

Breakfast is my least favorite, but I try not to leave home without eating first. Eggbeater omelet with mushrooms and green peppers, bite of steak, one no-fat 9-grain toast, and 32 ounces of milk with chocolate soy powder (it has to be chocolate)!
Sounds like a lot, but it is less than 450 calories.

Strange that you would mention such a breakfast as your favorite. Every time you are in Long Beach for that meal, you’re the one dying to hit Krispy Kreme! I just think you should have to moral courage to admit it!
My breakfast favorite (though it’s usually either toast or cereal or a pop tart) would be an omelette, hash browns, orange juice (not from concentrate)and a banana nut muffin. But if I can’t get that (and I seldom do) then Krispy Kreme ain’t bad!

That doesn’t sound like an adkins approved breakfast!

Poached eggs, toasted wheat bread laced with butter and honey, orange juice, sausages and Kellogs all wheat bran cereal.

Of course I only eat these on special occassions. On most days I get buttered (wheat) toast egg and turkey sandwich with hazel nut flavored coffee from the deli.

Okay, I admit it, I love anything with a lot of wheat in it.

I have been away from work, sick, for several days, so I’m late weighing in on this one! I love breakfast, too, but getting to work at 6:30 a.m. sort of limits what can be done. Being diabetic also sets some parameters! But if I were going to eat what I’d like……fried potatoes covered in cheese, a western omelette, white grave, and biscuits - or doughnuts!
