I’ll take the Astros to win it all. The Houston franchise, after 44 years in existence, can finally exult to hear those words. Of course those in the Chicago franchise who can remember such bold predictions are probably unable to chew their own food. So, we have two feel good stories in the series. Three actually: The Yankees will be watching the series from the comfort of their own homes.
In other news, I like the measures google has taken to cut down on spam comments. What is your record for typing in the wrong word at the word verification prompt? Can anyone beat three?

Case in point, I did not intend to type those letters into a comment!!
And I can’t get it to delete.
I often can’t tell the difference between the q’s and the g’s. Wouldn’t want to try to guess how many times I’ve messed up.
Since the Redbirds didn’t make it, I’m pullng for Chicago. I think Cecil said something a little earlier in the playoffs about Shoeless Joe getting to come out of the cornfield! I’ll go for that.

Sometimes, when I’ve tried thrice to no avail, I make a word from the letters and yell it really loud.

I’ve not tried yelling a word, but I think Steve may be onto a great stress reliever! I’m still at three times, but at my age I should surpass that barrier any day!

I have mixed emotions (like seeing your mother-in-law drive over a cliff in your brand new corvette. It’s like seeing your mother drive over a cliff in your brand new corvette. Of course I waxed figuratively here so please no calls to Anita Wargo.
As for the Series, this is a tough one. On one side (as meowmix said) you have Shoe-less Joe. On the other side you have the “rookies” to the big show, the Astros! And as I said, my hometown of Cocoa, Florida was the spring-training home of the Astros for many moons. So the verdict is:
“Go Astros!” Always root for the “home” team.
“My record” depends on glasses off or on. Glasses on – 3 times. Glasses off – well, it’s embarrassing!
Remember, pray for Wilma to head out to the Atlantic.
