Yesterday’s quip of the day:
One of our elders was in the baptistry yesterday preparing to baptize his middle child at the beginning of our assembly. He stood before the church and announced he had great news. Reese leaned over and whispered to Beth, “He just saved a bunch of money on his car insurance by switching to GEICO.” The marketing department at GEICO has been quite successful in getting their message across.
What are some other ad slogans that you can remember or have stuck with you? Bonus points will be awarded for those slogans of yore.

Nothing really comes to mind, except have it your way, you deserve a break today, you’re soaking in it, where’s the beef, those dirty stains‚Ķ, Mustang II-more than a feeling and, my personal favorite: We try harder. mytkznql

Not to mention those two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.
Or the sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, stuffy head, fever, so you can rest medicine.
Yikes.
On the new commercial front, have you seen the one where Jordan misses The Shot, Jeter’s throw is a second too late, and Clark misses The Catch? Really amazing.

I’ll take one for you Rev. - This occurred back in the 80‚Äôs and it was a Wendy‚Äôs commercial. We had tried to go camping at Juniper Springs in Ocala but the campground was full. We found a campground nearby that was winter home to mostly senior citizens. All through the day we could hear the senior residents quoting the punch-line to this Wendy‚Äôs commercial ‚Äì ‚ÄúWhere‚Äôs the beef?‚Äù They even used variations of it ‚Äì someone came back from fishing and was greeted with, ‚ÄúWhere‚Äôs the fish?‚Äù That night we were invited to a 50th anniversary celebration where someone said, ‚ÄúWhere‚Äôs the cake?‚Äù
I know, you might be thinking, “Where’s the point?” Love you guys.
