We visited the National Air & Space Museum (Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center) out in Dulles yesterday. What a great musuem - if you like historic planes and stuff like that. The centerpiece attractions of this museum include the following notable flying craft:
- SR71 Blackbird (It flew from Los Angeles to Washington Dulles on its last flight in 64 minutes)
- Enola Gay
- Concord
- Space Shuttle
They have so many other airplanes and exhibits you could spend hours wandering and looking. My dad used to fly so he particularly enjoyed the smaller planes / jets. We are headed to Baltimore today. Hopefully we will tour the “National” Bass Pro Shops.

More on the wise women:
They would have asked for directions,
arrived on time,
helped deliver the baby,
cleaned the stable,
brought practical gifts,
and made a casserole.
As they left they would have said:
“Did you see the sandals Mary was wearing with that robe?”,
“I heard that Joseph isn’t even working right now.”,
“That donkey they have been riding has seen better days.”,
“Want to bet on how long it will take to get your cassarole dish back?”,
“That baby doesn’t look anything like Joseph!”.

Being married to someone who intended to fly jets at one time in her life, I have a feeling I might be visiting that museum at some time. It would be fun to watch her little eyes spin around in her head.

Just may have to make another trip to DC for this side trip. Sounds very interesting. We could take in the air and space museum for a couple of hours and then conclude the day at Guitar Center!! Now that’s a plan.

Hey, Greg, that plan you mentioned? Make your trip to DC in June, and Steve and wife could come, too, as well as Cecil and everybody else. I’m going to be there for a seminar the week of June 19th! We could have a family reunion!

Any of Dirk Pitt’s planes there?
Can you fish the Aquarium up there in Baltimore?
Son 2 will LOVE seeing those planes.

You know you’re a redneck if you do the majority of your Christmas shopping at Bass Pro.
One of Steven’s friends was happy with his new bow target, unscented soap, and his camo bedspread!
I would love to tour that museum! They wouldn’t happen to have a P-51 Mustang?
Judy - Would love to make the trip. I’ll be in Parkersburg WV for the OVC Workcamp. I don’t if I could break away but if I could I’m sure it wouldn’t be a long drive.
I could bring the ssikq.
