“Bunch of bombs in the air . . .”

Bonus points to the one who correctly identifies the movie and the name of the character referenced in the title.

My fourth of July memories are a collection of cluttered images . . .

There was the summer furlough we spent in Oregon as kids laying out on the lawn watching the fireworks.  Was I just imagining that the fireworks burst into amazing images?

We’d go to the Eugene Emeralds baseball game, in that old wooden stadium, watch the game and stay for the fireworks following the game.  Our first time with Reese he was not happy!

There was our first time in DC to watch fireworks and sit in traffic for an hour trying to get home.  The next year it was raining so we went to the parking garage of the Pentagon City mall and watched from the next to the upper deck.

There was the time in Charlottesville the kids and I watched the final episodes of Iron Chef while everyone else went to see fireworks.

This afternoon we will be with some of our friends from the softball team.  We will have BBQ salmon, burgers, hotdogs complete with all the works.  We will go with them to the marina and watch the fireworks on the potomac.  Should be a fun way to spend our last fourth here in VA.
