Homeless

It was a very different experience being driven to the airport knowing that we weren’t just going on vacation and our faithful driver would be there to pick us up again in a week.

We did make our flight and reached the first leg of our journey, a few days of rest in Wichita Falls, Texas.  It has been a long time since setting foot on Texas soil.  As we made the two hour drive from DFW to Wichita Falls I told the kids to look out the window and tell me what the saw.  They replied "nothing."  Exactly!  Wide open spaces baby, wide open spaces.

Being in Texas we had to lunch at Sonic and I particularly enjoyed the Dr. Pepper with a splash of vanilla.

So as we were sitting around doing nothing yesterday afternoon I realized we were technically homeless.  The lease on our new home does not begin until Friday and we moved out of our church supplied home in Arlington so for now, here in the Vacation Paradise of Texas (Wichita Falls) we are homeless.  Cathy and Cohn may begin to suspect something if we are still here next week.
