Brady has already written about the two touchdowns, the field goal and the safety scored at the minor league baseball game last night. With a final score of 17 to 16 you can understand the confusion of the scoring system. It was great fun watching the score keeper (who changes the score by hand in center field) get out the white athletic tape to make numbers. Somehow 23 hits by one team was not what he was expecting.
Our household contents are scheduled to arrive in the shipping terminal located in Modesto, California this afternoon for a delivery between 8 and 12 tomorrow morning. Let’s see how the time-table holds up on this end. I am not holding my breath because of our experience on the other end.
I just don’t get the television show Prison Break. My sister-in-law speaks of the virtues of the shows. I was mystified about a show with a premise of breaking our of prison. What happens to the show when they break out of prison? The answer arrived today in the Fresno Bee. The prison escapees will set out to elude law enforcement find who framed the guilty brother.
Speaking of the Fresno Bee, I miss the Washington Post. I never read many of the articles but the comic section was a beautiful thing.

Someone said this morning it was the first ballgame they’d ever been to where the scoreboard personnel had to be replaced because of fatigue.
It was fun.
The comics section is my favorite part of the Commercial Appeal, as well. I especially like Get Fuzzy and Mutt (I think that’s its name). Both about cats, of course.
The comics section is the only section of most newspapers worth reading. Our local paper is a waste of money. Even the sports editor chooses to highlight the Angels and Dodgers with almost no space given to the Braves! Go figure????
The Fresno Bee, on the other hand, just discovered a few years ago that there WAS a team in California called the Angels. They had to win a World Series to make it happen.
Oh, it’s a rag. Such a rag. Thank goodness the LA Times is available online.
I’m glad you clarified you were talking about a baseball game. When I first saw the headline I thought you were talking about how many people had visited your blog.
There are other sections in the newspaper? I thought the rest of it was just wrapping paper for the comics. My current favorite is Zits - it just hits so close to home - our refrigerator is covered with them (all time favorite is Hobbs - I miss him).
Sounds like a fine pitching duel. How many extra points were missed?
