I spent the day getting acclimated to the new office environment and getting my office put together. Just in case Brady is wondering I was even able to take time out for some renewal at Costco. I arrive home around 6:30PM and after checking in with the family sat down to relax with some mind numbing television.
With great surprise there on the tele was the Monday Night Football game - in the third quarter already! When we lived previously on the West Coast we always attended or hosted Monday Night Football parties. When we moved to the East Coast not so much. Mainly because the game did not start until 9PM! I don’t recall ever staying awake past half-time.
For some reason Monday Night Football was always a fun time for us. It certainly had to do with the people we would see each week. I’m looking forward to our next chapter as Monday Night Football fans especially with Tony Kornheiser, one of my favorite TV / Radio personalities in the booth.
Are you ready for some football?

Ahhh … that moving into a new office! I did that 14 years ago and never want to do it again. (You know my office and all that would be involved in moving just the Stooge stuff!) Sounds like things are going well with you. Enjoyed very much our visit on the phone earlier today. Looking forward to whenever we get together this fall for a PB reunion!

Well, now, tell me. Have you had time to check out if you are sharing your office space with any little creatures?

I am envious. The first year we lived in the eastern time zone I stayed up to watch a Dallas Cowboys/New York Giants game. It went into overtime and didn’t end until 1:30 a.m. How can they have any kind of a following out here?

I am never ready for football. Especially since it’s baseball season.
I can, however, identify with the west coast joy. I’ll never forget visiting in-laws in Florida on my first visit east. It was 10:00, I couldn’t sleep (still being on west coast time) and I turned on the tube after the old folks went to bed. I was thrilled to flip the channels and find an Angels game JUST STARTING!

I have watched MNF since I was a kid. It’s one of my favorite times of the week. I loved Don Drysdale’s “Turn out the light” song when it was about over.

I’d probably be a rabid football fan if MNF didn’t come on at the same time as Fishing with Bill Dance. And I don’t have TiVo so….

Good to know you are settling in. I watched the last 3 minutes of that game. Thought it was fun that no one wanted to tie.
I haven’t been to COSTCO in two weeks, but will go one more time before leaving.
