My son announced that he hates fishing but likes catching. It's amazing how the tug on the line will erase the boredom.
p.s. I especially liked the picture on Reese's shirt.

Catch and release is a good policy. It really is. But so is "catch and eat." Cleaning his own fish and pan-frying it for breakfast will give Reese a taste memory that will stay with him until he is as old at his dad. Way to go guys!

Great Job Reese. A father has no greater joy than getting out-fished by one of his children.

That's why my dad is such a happy man.

Some of my very best memories are of going fishing with my Dad. When I am feeling tense or upset, if I imagine the sound of the river, the sound of Dad's fly line whipping thru the air, and Dad's whistling some song...the anxiety evaporates. I was the only one of four daughters who showed any interest. How lucky I was...I had him all to myself when we were fishing. I've got his creel and vest on a shelf in the family room...they have been there ever since Dad died five years ago. If the house ever catches on fire, I'm grabbing those first.
Going fishing with Dad...it's the BEST!
Randy, keep taking Reese fishing...as much as you can.

I fished a lot w/ my father in law when I should have been attending graduate classes during my master's program. Years later, I took my kids fishing in Florida, but we never caught much, if anything. When "Grindaddy" would come visit, they would beg him to take them fishing because they knew if he took them, they would catch fish. Which they did.
I have some fishing equipment for sale ... interested???

I went fishing once. I must have spent a whole hour out there. Gave up. Never went back.

Watched paint dry once. Reminded me of my time fishing.
