. . . not the very next day but a few days later.
Our five hundred dollar cat escaped Sunday night. The highlight of her existence, back in Virginia, was to run out of the house and spend a couple of hours under the shed. Doesn’t make much sense to have nine lives and spend all that time under the shed. Fotunately I was not the responsible party for allowing the cat to escape. We left the garage door open a smidge and waited to see if she would come back.
We imagined she was in feline heaven not because she had expired but because she was enjoying exploring. Of course I did remark about how it would have been nice had she ran away before we spent the five hundred (or more) dollars to bring her with us.
There she was this morning in the garage, dirty as can be, with that look on her face that said "where did the shed go"?
