My Dear RDW: That was more than I wanted to know about oscars and zebras. We ARE a close blogging group, but you really don't have to share that much with me! :)

Have you forgotten? Maintaining an aquarium is the equivelent of a part- time job!
Do you remember that one time our family was watching Jesse K.'s (500 or so) aquariums when he went to Mexico to help you and one fish became despondent and committed suicide by jumping out of the tank?
What's up with that??
He didn't even leave a note...

A Poem I used on Sunday

Sometimes when you're feeling important
Sometimes when your ego's in bloom
Sometimes when you take it for granted
You're the best qualified in the room

Sometime when you feel that your going
Would leave an unfillable hole,
Just follow these simple instructions
And see how they humble your soul.

Take a bucket and fill it with water
Put your hand in it up to the wrist,
Pull it out, and the hole that's remaining
Is a measure of how you'll be missed.

You can splash all you want when you enter,
You may stir up the water galore;
But stop, and you find that in no time
It looks quite the same as before.

The moral in this quaint example
Is to do just the best that you can;
Be proud of yourself, but remember
There's no indispensable man.

We had aquariums for a few years and enjoyed them very much ... but they were a pain to keep clean. Loved the neon tetras as much as any. We had cannibalistic fish as well.

As to your point of blog: It usually is obvious to everyone else when we take on more than we can handle. The amusing part of it is that the one drowning in task will pretend he / she can handle it.
