15 Years

A few things have changed in 15 years.

    I have less hair.

I’m a different (better) person because of her.

A few things have not changed in 15 years.

I’m still in love with her.

She’s still the one who can make me laugh and make me care about others.

Yesterday we celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary.

Since I know this blog crowd, all to well, I will be the first to say "my sympathies to Beth."

We watched the tape of our wedding ceremony last night on this ancient technology called VHS tape.  Actually it was an 8mm tape dubbed onto a VHS tape.  My comment?  "Honey, if we would have been married this year our wedding tape would have been digital."

If you had been married this year, you’d have some explaining to do to the bride’s family.

We thought of you on Pearl Harbor day. Really did.

Congratulations. And may you have many more years of joy and fun together.

Hope Beth relayed my message. Happy Anniversary. Ours is 11 days after yours. I have to tell you, I’m having trouble reading your blog because of that spinning spiro-graph thingy on your blog.

I miss the spinny, spiro-graph thingy.

Happy Anniversary. Your “ancient” VHS technology was out of the reach of poor school teacher’s pockets in 1981. If we had been married (that would be you and Beth, wife and myself) in a double ceremony in 81 we could have shared space on our cassette tape with you.

Congratulations to you both. I think your coments about your wife are awesome. It is great to see love grow and grow.

Our wedding was on VHS as well in 1983. The camera cost about $800.00. It is in the case now and won’t even work. Our marriage of 23 years still goes on in a wonderful way.

Sort of a funny short story about the video tape. My brother-in-law did the actual filming and he was a heavy smoker (still is). During the whole ceremony, he was breathing rather heavy into the microphone. He also moved around trying to hide behind the flower stands. It reminds one of the old fashioned horror flicks with the monster in the bushes waiting to pounce on his next victim. Really strange to hear in a wedding video.
