24

I waited two days for Greg to post regarding the television show 24.  By his silence, for he is a card carrying member of the 24 fan club, I can only assume that the radiation fallout reached Long Beach.

We are still safe here in Stockton.  Fortunately it was the opportune season for a nuclear detonation as the Santa Ana winds only appear in the Autumn.

I watched both two hour episodes and was encouraged that the terrorists have given up trying to kidnap Jack’s daughter Kim.  Remember that one season where Kim was kidnapped every 15 minutes?

Talk about your "I can’t do this anymore" events.  Save one of those bullets Jack my boy!

Randy, I can not tell you how much I appreciate the fact that you posted about 24 without adding any spoilers about the first 4 hours. I Tivo’d both Sunday night and last night’s episode and am pretty pumped to start watching and there is almost nothing I hate more than getting info ahead of time. i don’t even read the TV guide-like descriptions that Tivo gives me because it gives something away.

I’m still waiting for Jack to acknowledge that at least once every year or so he has the mother of all bad days. I mean the day we see can’t be how it is every day. I mean, he’s the man, but c’mon.

By the way, I heard a report that Jack Bauer killed Kiefer Sutherland because nobody “plays” Jack Bauer.

I did put a link to my present blog, but really … in my opinion (and a humble one it is) the show just isn’t worth the time for me. But I don’t get dogmatic over it. If someone wants to watch 24, that’s fine with me. I have better things to do. Such as trim my toenails. Polish shoes. Pick belly button lint. Pick up Chipper’s gifts in the back yard. Trim nose hair. Etc.

As long as the nuclear fallout stays away from Malibu, I can live with it.

I like the Unit much better because of the real life personal element that it generally includes. Last night’s episode was truly good.

    Peace.

Steve, I agree with both of your thoughts. We have enjoyed watching the Unit and feel that once Palmer left office (murdered though it was) it positioned him perfectly to lead a rogue commando unit.

I’m sorry guys, but it’s one of the most exciting TV shows I watch. My son and I are hooked in a bad way. Thankful to DVR (TIVO for Cable), I don’t have to miss an episode.

Reality really has nothing to do with it to me. I love Star Wars, Star Trek, which are other “unbelievale stories.” But I can at least admit that a day like that would be near impossible to live through.
