16 Feb 07 Shorts

The weather is changing, spring is almost here.

We have a friend that used to see how late and how early she could wear shorts — even to work.  My kind of gal!

For some reason, as I like fine wine age, my legs seem to get smoother and whiter.

Musical interlude, please feel free to chime in . . .

"Whiter than snow, Randy’s legs are whiter than snow . . ."

"Though his legs are muscularly and sinewy they shall be as white as snow . . ."

The decision to wear shorts, in public for the first time in a season, must be considered carefully.  Once you cross that threshold there is no turning back.

Just back away from the temptation to add knee-high black socks to your ensemble and you should be okay.

Just let us know here in Alabama when that’s going to happen so that I can explain to all of my friends what that sudden glare is out of the western sky!!  "It’s an alien spaceship!!"  "It’s a meteor shower!!"  "Na, it’s just Randy’s legs!!":)
You wouldn’t want to wear them here today.  The temp is 31 as a daytime high!!  Burrrrrrrr!

Since this is obviously an extension of yesterday’s blog about misery, Randy today gives us the answer all of us seek, already knew and what our parents taught us:  Keep your pants on.

Ah. White legs. Why is it that that phrase makes me think of my dad? And my kids think of their dad? Chose wisely…

No one will notice if you wear mid calf black socks and dark Dr. Scholl shoes that have the velcro straps instead of laces!

I keep waiting for all of our fear about global warming and skin cancer and UV rays and the like to reverse the trend of tan skin being the standard of beauty.  Once upon a time, the startling white shades of legs like yours were thought to be desireable.  Just like the men who hang on to thier skinny ties waiting for them to come back or people who are now patting themselves on the back for holding on to thier bell-bottom jeans, I’m sticking to the "bright white" look until it becomes "in" again.
Plus, I don’t really tan much, so that made the decision easier.
