The Last Day of Vacation
We enjoyed our "mini-vacation" but it was good to get home and see the kids.
The last day of a vacation is a day like no other.
It’s on this day you realize all the stuff you left behind is still waiting for you.
I much prefer the first day of vacation.

Ah well, as they say, every good thing must come to an end.
I guess you are about to experience that other "enjoyment" and "satisfaction" that accompanies getting things done.
I do agree. The first day of vacation with the invariable accompaniment of fresh liberation and several days of casual fun to look forward to certainly trumps having to steel one’s self for the inevitability of returning to "normal" life.
Sort of like Saturday of each week … gotta go to work the next morning.
I’ll take the first day of vacation any day. Yep yep yep.
Try having the first day last. Just do the things on the last day that you normally do on the first. Jesus said the last will be first and the first last. Work will still be there the next morning, but whatever!!
