Disney Update

Seven something years ago we entered the park (Disneyland) and saw no line for Pinocchio’s Psychotic Adventure.  We rushed in with Madison (age 5) and Reese (age 3) and scared the living daylight out of Reese.   He would not go into any building the rest of the day.  We had to find a eating place that was outside because he would not go indoors.  Top it all off he lost his favorite hat in the belly of the ride.

So it was with some healthy caution that we approached our time at the park (still talking about Disneyland) yesterday.  There was no line at Star Tours - should we go in?  Is it an omen?  A repeat of the previous experience?

Aside from me getting motion sick we prevailed.  We rushed straight to Space Mountain and I got even more motion sick.  Motion sickness aside, we had a great day.  It seemed like the Disney planets were aligned because we hit every single ride at just the right time.

During the afternoon, after we had worked up our bravado, we returned to the scene of the crime (as it were) and conquered our Pinocchio Phobia.  Fear of that wooden puppet boy no longer controls us.

We rode all the open rides (Tom Sawyer was closed) and fit it all in for one long day.  We even rode the tea cups and of course It’s a Small World.

Speaking of small worlds.  Standing in line waiting to walk down Main Street we saw friends from Fresno. Walking through the park we saw friends from Sacramento.
