Visiting Friends Aside . . .

Any restaurant you would consider worth making a trip to enjoy once again?

What’s the restaurant?  Where’s the restaurant?  What do they serve?  (If it’s not obvious in the title)

Krispy Kreme. Just across the street from the Los Altos division of the Long Beach Police Department and one of the few left in business. Various type of biblical manna.

Angels Donuts on Long Beach Blvd. in Long Beach, at the corner of Roosevelt Ave. They have the very best chocolate glazed donut, by special request. It’s a glazed donut that is then covered over with chocolate. Most donut places will just put the chocolate icing over a donut, but leave off the undercoating of sugar glaze. This thing will put you into diabetic arrest, but is worth the health risk.

Oh yes, a great BBQ place in Florida … Charlie and Jakes. But the old location is better than the newer location. Simply the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten. But they don’t serve donuts, so it does have it’s drawbacks.

Cheesecake Factory in Redondo Beach, CA. Besides being the site of the greatest cheesecakes (that I occasionally shared) in the world, it was also the site for many a visit between me, my family, Greg’s family, various members of my church family who made the trip to the Pepperdine Lectures, and Tom and Arlene Dubas - 2 of the most generous people in the world.

Greg said “Angels” and it made me sad all over again.

For the record, Cecil never shared as much as a bite of his cheesecake! He’s a liar and should be removed from eldership by his church immediately!!!

The diner attached to the Quality Inn on Hwy. 50 in Arlington, VA.

I’d like to revisit both of these just because………………..

Lulu’s at Gulf Shores, Alabama - great food and atmosphere. It’s open-air.

I’d take about any restaurant in Stockton or Fresno right about now, a place that served good Mexican food. Or maybe Chinese. Or even Japanese…

Would saving some for later count as sharing even if it was with myself?
