Conversion Experiences
A little over a year ago I was converted.
I was rescued from the kingdom of darkness (PC) and transferred to the kingdom of light (MAC).
I’ve discovered and enjoyed the freedom and feeling of explicable joy.
Today, I experience conversion once again.
I’m switching from a freshwater aquarium to a saltwater aquarium.
Our youth minister is a saltwater aquarist and has been after me for many years (we’ve known each other a long time) to make the switch.
As they say, no time like the present.

mmmmmm…..home grown sushi
The colors of salt water fish are amazingly vivid and beautiful. You might even find some fish to match that huge painting in your house!
Does making the switch from sweet tea to unsweet tea count in the “light” category?
First of all, Cecil, the answer is “yes.” Second, Randy if you find fish that match that painting please post pictures immediately. Finally, I have had more than one person try to convert me to the mysterious goodness of Macintosh. I learned how to use a computer with a Mac, so I guess I’m a wayward son of sorts. Mostly I worry that it won’t be compatible with what I do at work on the PC. What do you think?
What are you people trying to say about the painting?
Randy, I’ll take it off your hands any day. Let me know and the art movers are there.
(By the way, I bought a painting by a relatively unknown artist this past summer for $1200. One of her paintings just sold for $17,000.)
Let me know when you want to unload that infamous painting.
Three quick replies.
First, I must disagree with Stumptown (yes, I know the risks of an impending lawsuit). Going from sweet tea to unsweet tea is not conversion it is regression. Sorry cwinc it does not count.
Second, no worries about compatibility with the mac. The MAC does everything the PC thinks it can do and does it better.
Third, there is no way on earth we would ever give up our painting (except of course for $17,000 or higher). Besides being the ultimate conversation piece it reminds us of Mr. wfma and Mrs. wfma. The only way we would ever give it up is in exchange for an original wfma of the same size. Though I’m tempted to accept your offer just to get you to come visit!
I’m coming in late on this discussion, but I just want to say I’m glad someone finally converted you!!!
aquarist?.. what a bizarre word.
Josh - Thank you for supporting a recovering Sweet Tea-holic.
Randy - Thank of Sonny’s BBQ and the voice of the Soup Nazi:
“No more Sonny’s BBQ for you!”
Go Mac and go Leopard! Don’t know beans about aquariums although I was an Aquaman fan of days gone by. Does that count?
Peace.
I like the painting, we talk about it often. So Jess has influence on you! What are you thinking. (I know it’s all about the fish). I still wonder about the pipes and the large numbers what do they have to do with anything. But it’s the RED theme that makes the painting have an “I want to live with you” feeling to it.
Keep it, it has become a part of the family.
My PC defense has pretty much become “Nyahh, I have a PC. Nyahh.” Kinda like my Bush defense.
Randy - that should be “think” which it appears from my comment above that I wasn’t doing such.
I was there for the macconversion. It was a marvel to behold.
And you have born the fruits of that conversion.
Congratulations.
