By now many people have shopped and are ready to drop.
I’ve been there.
I’ve arrived in the wee hours of the morning to get one of 6 or one of 12 items.
I’ve stood in the line and braved the crowds and made a decision a few years ago that sounds something like "not again."
I know some people enjoy the pursuit, the hunt. It is a challenge and a quest for some and I say more power to you.
It’s just not for me.
I wish I could say it’s because I’ve learned to be content.
It’s more because I’d rather not endure the gauntlet.

There are some Black Friday pursuits you can take from the comfort of home (www.store.apple.com). I think I’ll head there right now…
I did stop by Guitar Center this morning, but it opened at 8, not some obscene hour when this hemisphere is covered in darkness. I’ve never seen so many guitars fly out a door as I saw this morning.
I’m with you. There’s nothing I want for myself or for anyone else that would make me join the craziness! As I get older, the more I know the things I really want and would treasure cannot be bought with money…………
midterms have just wrapped up a finals are an onrush.. was catching up on a show taped from last night and saw an ad for jcpenney saying they were opening at 4 a.m.!? and kohls too, apparently…
did toys’r'us one year (because the deal was so good) they cram the aisle with displays so there is no getting around. i don’t mind the getting there early, especially if i find what i want…and i snicker at the carefully groomed women and their bed-head husbands and children. have to say the biggest downer is the women screeching bad-temperedly at their husbands over something he has no control of and she is completely inept to take responsibility for…ah, joy…i was with my mother-in-law, not my husband, so i was the picture of patience and good manners…
