I’m just as shocked as you are.
I received a call yesterday and in the course of the conversation the caller said, "is everything ok, you haven’t blogged since last Thursday?"
It wasn’t until that moment that I realized it was true.
So what have I been up to the last several days? Trying to get back on track with the house remodel for starters (and finishers).
Because of the skilled work of a new sheetrock guy (five days worth of work) he delivered the house completely textured Sunday afternoon.
The paint crew (la esposa y mi vecino) began Monday and even as I type these words the kitchen cabinets are being installed.
Can you believe that? I thought we’d never get to that point!
The end is near - I’m imagining that we will get the house done just in time for a ute to steal a car and drive right through our newly remodeled house.
Sounds about right doesn’t it Steve?

I would suggest you scrape a few walls before you move back in so you can go ahead and get it out of the way and thus defeat the “ute stealing car / driving through kitchen karma” now.
January 5 … Food fight … your house. Don’t miss it!
As I recall, you are one of the ones who started this whole blog thing with all of us, so your absence is duly noted. So don’t do that anymore, or I’ll have to come out there!
Glad the remodel is turning out well. Everybody needs a kitchen so they don’t have to eat in the garage!
The Thurman family has placed an official moratorium on “cars through the house” jokes. To quote my wife: “It’s just not funny.”
The end of a journey. Sweet.
Enjoy the new kitchen.
