Mocha has completed her second week of puppy training.
Everyone says that dog training is more for the owner than it is for the dog.
Sounds like a healthy ministry philosophy.
In that class, around all those other dogs, that parental switch engages and you want your dog to be the smartest.
Yes, you even get a bumper sticker.

I don’t want to take away from this moment in your life with Mocha, but just a reminder that Chipper went to obedience school, too. It doesn’t always work out the way you expected it to work!!

At least Mocha is trainable. If Mocha were a cat, well……..cats do what they want to!

Meowmix points out a great reason to own a dog.
Real men can train their dogs without silly little classes. The rest of us, however, require lots of help.

I don’t know if you remember this, but after Otis completed 6 weeks of obedience school, the Instructor recommended Otis repeat the entire 6 weeks, which we did. Then we did a third session of classes as well. After 18 weeks of Saturday mornings, the Instructor said we weren’t doing any good and to just love Otis AS IS.
So we did.
I still miss that old pug with all my heart. I have had 5 dogs in my lifetime and he was by far my very favorite.

I look forward to meeting Mocha and taking the puppy out for a walk with his well-trained owners.
