Beatle Banjomania
To the delight of a certain segment of the population (the kind that almost steps into open graves) a banjo was featured on American Idol last night.
That’s right kids, in a night to showcase songs by Lennon & McCarthy fans were treated to a banjo intro and a southern rendition of "She’s A Woman" by Chikezie.
He (Chikezie) will sign a recording contract, regardless of how far he goes on the show, for his name alone.
The audience, the judges, nay I say Americans everywhere were crazy with Beatle Banjo Fever.
The next thing we will see (remember you heard it here first) is skateboarders everywhere learn to pick and grin (the banjo that is).

Don’t you know that I never watch American Idol but did last night and knew you and Greg would be delighted with Chikezie’s rendition.
Will we see you at Pepperdine? I plan to go out on the Saturday before and see Greg and then meet up with a group of guys from Florida on Monday.
Peace.
Banjos being hip is not new. None other than Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead was a picker. Had many side projects playing bluegrass and other non-bluegrass songs in bluegrass style. Even played a little jazz banjo. Sat in with him on a few occations in my uncle’s family room playing music a long long time ago…former member of Central in Stockton..former elder
Dude!
two words: Bela Fleck
Two more words: Roy Clark.
I am enlightened and can go to bed now. Thank you.
Go ahead and jump!
Chikezie was THE BEST that night.
Sorry I missed that one!
