We joined Madison’s softball team again this year for the annual Easter picnic.
We eat, we laugh, the kids hunt eggs, we talk, (interesting conversations occur around you at these type of gatherings) and we play a game of softball (parents v. kids).
This year the moms played on the girls team against the dads.
Outnumbered as we were (we had 6 players) we squeaked out a win.
Was it worth the painkillers being consumed today?
Yes.

It seems to me you were on pain killers after last year’s game too. Next year, take the pills before the gameā¦

I vaguely remember a time in my life when I could actually play softball. The last couple of times I attempted to play, it was not pretty. My vision was the main culprit … no longer able to judge distance very well so I made a horrible fielder, not to mention a not-so-impressive batter. I do much better these days watching others play. But I’ll pop a pain pill in celebration with you!
