26 Mar 08 A Preview And A Review

Both kids spent the night with friends yesterday.

The house was quiet.  Too quiet.

I took an allergy pill at around 4PM and woke up around 7:30PM.

Wiping the drool off my mouth I turned to my sweetie and said "want to go get something to eat?"

We tried a THAI restaurant with mixed results and returned home to watch a film.

My review of Little Miss Sunshine (think of The Royal Tenenbaums,Vacation, and Life Aquatic all rolled into one) is as follows:

1.  Way too much foul language.

2.  Way too much like reality.

3.  If you can wade through the foul language you get a glimpse into the pain of being family.

Little Miss Sunshine was great. That last scene was so agonizingly ironic it made the movie worthwhile all by itself. I especially enjoyed how many people might watch and not even realize they were being mocked. That’s just the sort of thing I enjoy. Yes, I know I’m sick. Also, what are “mixed results” from a restaurant? Is that like, good service, but no sandwhiches? Or, reasonably priced but everything came with vegetables? Just curious.

Glad you guys got out of the house. I thought after remodeling that you’d never eat out again.

Let’s start a company that puts a Christian track on those good stories with terrible language. Like Shawshank Redmeption… a great story but terrible language.

Call me an escape artist! I haven’t seen Little Miss Sunshine, but in recent years, I have tended to only indulge in movies that is NOT like reality and will truly “entertain” me. I like the stories with a dream quality………you know, “escapism!” :)

You had me worried for a moment when you said, “Wiping the drool off my mouth I turned to my sweetie and said….” I suppose “drool” is an indicator of one being hungry - for food.
