Hanging Pictures
We decided it was probably time to hang pictures at Casa Wray and with a long weekend it seemed like a better proposition than having dental work.
It was actually an enjoyable experience even though we had to make difficult decisions seeing as our house doesn’t have the wall space we used to have.
It’s amazing to me the difference it makes (in the house) with pictures and art and decorations on the walls.
Even our big picture going from resting on the floor to hanging on the wall makes a big difference.
When your stuff goes on the wall it feels more like your wall.

We’ve yet to do that … Janice doesn’t want to hang anything until we place the flat screen on the wall in the living room. I guess everything in the house is relative to that flat screen, even things in other rooms where there is no visual connection to the flat screen. There must be some element of math involved because it’s beyond me.
I guess for someone who passed the CBEST, hanging pictures was a breeze. Are you going to tell me what a CBEST is? Must have something to do with math, but I’m just guessing…………..
I heard that when YOU decorate a wall in a home, that long after you have left that home, the wall remains intact and unaltered. In that case, is it still your wall, or is it their wall?
you’ve inspired me. We’ve been in our house 5 yrs. now, probably time to hang some pics. Don’t want to rush into these things, you know.
Ironically, Casa Vallejo (more ironically, that is the most Spanish you will ever read from me, I hardly speak a lick)has not really had that much on the walls as far as art goes, even though I am a visual artist. I guess most of my work is created for other people. So when we moved to our house just over a year ago, I made a point to crete 3 or 4 pictures to hang on the walls. Now it really feels like home!
BTW, CBEST stands for California Basic Educational Skills Test. It is one of many tests that a California teacher has to take to be certified (no I am not suggesting that Randy is cetifiable).
