I began the monumental task of cleaning out the garage last night.

The motivation for this pursuit was of course to get the ping-pong table out of the house.

I’ve never been much of a garage sale person but we have so many things that could go into a garage sale.

I’d rather throw it all away than have a garage sale.

Relax.  Calm down.  I’ll find a way to give most of it away.

The LHS Choir & Orchestra held their Christmas concert at the Empire last night.

For those of you who don’t live in Stockton, the empire is the old downtown theatre converted into a coffee shop / performance venue.

A nice (but aging) venue.

The students looked smashing in their formal dresses and tuxedos.

The program they attempted was challenging in various respects (they did their own version of Africa by Toto as seen on YouTube).

As a critic I would observe the program was too long.

As a parent I would observe the program was still too long.

In my view it would be far better to have fewer songs and do them well.

Speaking of which . . . let’s talk about Sunday morning . . .

After 2 plus nights of freezing temperatures we climbed back up into the high 30’s low 40’s.

It could be worse, this could be Flint.

Meowmix was quite helpful in discovering the gift giving guide for years 16 through 19.

The suggested genre for 18 is Porcelain or Bronze.

So that means the gift of a toilet for the 18th is keeping with the spirit of the gift giving guide right?

I want the one that will flush 2 dozen golf balls.

Why are there no anniversary gift giving guides for years 16 through 19?

Tonight’s game between Oregon and Oregon State will determine the PAC10 championship and Rose Bowl berth.

Oregon doesn’t have to win (the world will still continue to spin).

Oregon state just has to lose!

GO DUCKS!

We hosted our Small Group for a holiday dinner last night that was off the hook!

chicken enchiladas
chile rellenos
rice & beans
all that plus chips & salsa and dessert
